Ācārya Jonas Masetti
Jonas Masetti is an Acharya of Vedanta, a disciple of Swami Dayananda, with whom he studied and lived in immersion for four and a half years in India. He also studied with teacher Glória Arieira and several other masters, deepening his knowledge of the Vedic tradition. Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from IME, he built a successful career in the financial market but answered the call to dedicate himself entirely to teaching Vedanta.
Ten years ago, he returned to Brazil and has since been spreading Vedic culture worldwide. In 2025, he was awarded the Padma Shri, one of the highest civilian honors granted by the Indian government, and was also named Ambassador of the Vedic Tradition in the Americas on national television in India by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself—reinforcing the seriousness and relevance of his work.
Currently, he leads the Vishva Vidya family, where he promotes studies in Sanskrit, mantras, and meditative practices, aiming to bring the light of Vedanta and self-knowledge to a broad audience, transcending geographical and cultural barriers. His work has already impacted thousands of people, establishing him as a reference in teaching Vedanta in Portuguese and, more recently, in English as well.
Furthermore, he founded the first Vedanta Gurukulam in Brazil, further strengthening the presence of this ancient wisdom in the Western world.
